Senate caves, votes to give telecoms retroactive immunity

The Senate voted down a spy bill amendment today that would have blocked telecommunications companies from receiving retroactive legal immunity for their involvement in the federal government’s potentially illegal warantless surveillance program.

McCain voted against the amendment and for immunity, Obama voted for the amendment and against immunity, Clinton didn’t bother to vote!
